Training 2008


As per the graph in the sidebar I’m attempting to get myself fired up and back on the bike. As I have no planned events  to aim for or a club to ride with I’ve been lacking motivation to get on the bike. The great undoing at the moment is the increased rainfall, any excuse to sleep in and I’m on it.

The Training plan is simple and has changed this year. The focus is now on the amount of hours in the saddle as opposed to the number of kilometres, this is due to a number of articles I’ve read in my extended off season (March 2007 to present) and looks to be a good option to focus on time and not distance. The theory for me is that if you do the time the speed and endurance will come. Have a look at the Training 2008 page for a table of what is going on, be advised that the table may not be each day.
