Cadel wears the Yellow

July 15, 2008 · Filed Under Cadel Watch 08, Cycling

Cadel Evans became the fifth Australian to claim the Tour de France leader’s yellow jersey after finishing eighth in the 10th stage in the Pyrenees. It’s a proud day (well early morning for us in Oz) to see this humble Australian take the Yellow Jersey.

Very happy for Cadel and you. I loved watching him battle back and stick with the group. He definitely deserves yellow. I hope he can hold on to it. I am certainly happy to see American Vande Velde doing well. But if I have to look at the possible winners… I’m pulling for Cadel.
