Spring Training ‘07
After finally sitting down and watching Stage 8 (yes damn the time zones that leave Australia hours ahead and SBS can only show us the TDF into the early hours of the morning) I’m dusting off Matt (CAAD7 Cannondale) putting on the new 2007 CSC kit and, as I like to call it, “Starting the engine”. After 2 months on the couch with colds and flu I’m getting onto the wind trainer with the iPod and getting the legs turning over again. Fear not Rasmussen I avoid the hills like the plague.
I’ll be preparing for no races, just watching the pros on the TDF gets me dragging my arse out onto the road again to catch up with a few mates and knock off a few k’s. The ultimate outcome is a coffee at the end of the ride and a chat about the attacks that I never made on the weekend ride. The next few weeks will see me having the lungs and legs telling the brain to “Stop what the hell are you doing to us” until the cardio picks up in about 4 weeks.
